Endorsed events

To streamline the process of meeting endorsement and ensure transparency, the following items will be considered when evaluating an application of an external party for ‘ESICM Meeting endorsement’. When ESICM endorses a meeting, the organizers are allowed to use the ESICM logo, with the specific mention ‘endorsed by ESICM’, in the different channels of communication.

  • Alignment with ESICM’s mission and vision. The meeting should align with ESICM’s core values, including integrity, collaboration, and respect.
  • Relevance to intensive care medicine. The activity’s content should be directly relevant to the field of intensive care medicine, addressing current challenges, innovations, and research findings that can contribute to patient care and medical practice. At least 50% of the activity should focus on ICU-related activities.
  • Scientific rigor. The scientific programme should be based on the latest evidence and research in the field.
  • Ethical standards. Adherence to high ethical standards in all aspects of the meeting, including transparency in funding, conflict of interest disclosures, and the promotion of unbiased scientific research. Commercial entities should not have a direct influence on the programme.
